Born in 1953 in Phini village, district of Limassol, where he lived during his early age.
He graduated from Lanition Gymnasium and following a two years service in the National Guard as a conscript, he studied law at the Athens National and Kapodestrian University.
On his return to Cyprus in 1977, he practiced law until 1991, when he was appointed by the Supreme Council of Judicature to the post of District Judge.
He was promoted to Senior District Judge in 1997 and to President District Court in 2004. On 25.4.2013 he was appointed as a member of the Supreme Court of Cyprus.
