He was born in Famagusta on 20.10.1961. He is married and the father of three sons and a daughter.

He pursued his legal studies at the University of Athens and began practicing law in Larnaca from 1987 to 1993.

On 11.01.1993, he was appointed District Judge, followed by an appointment to Senior District Judge on 19.11.2001. In 11.02.2008 he was appointed District Court President, serving as the President of the Assize Court of Larnaca and as the Administrative President of the District Court of Nicosia. On 1.09.2014 he was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Court and on 01.07.2023, he was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Constitutional Court.

He served as a Lecturer and Examiner of the Legal Council of Cyprus in Contract Law.

Furthermore, in 2019, he drafted and presented the Guide to Judicial Conduct, which was later adopted by the Supreme Court. He was subsequently appointed by the Supreme Court as the head of the Judicial Conduct Principles Monitoring Committee.

In June 2022 the Supreme Court adopted his recommendation concerning the anonymization practices of judicial decisions. He served as the chair the Judicial Oversight Committee, ensuring the protection of personal data in respect of the supervision of data processing operations of the courts when acting in their judicial capacity.

In June 2022, alongside the President of the Supreme Constitutional Court, Mr A. R. Liatsos, they recommended an important amendment to the disciplinary procedures for judicial officers. This led to the adoption of the Exercise of Disciplinary Power of the Supreme Council of Judicature Procedural Rules of 2022 (29/2022).

The following year, in June 2023, he submitted a recommendation and report, whereby the Supreme Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court, in a joint meeting, issued the Declaration and Control of Judges’ Assets Joint Rules of 2023.

Furthermore, since June 2019, he has been serving as an alternate arbitrator at the Court of Reconciliation and Arbitration of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
